- Introduce yourself
- What is your approach towards the topic and what would you do at your initial day of work?
- What did you do that aligns with the project’s nature and requirements?
Career goals and ambitions
- To perform research in autonomous systems and self-driving vehicles and develop explainable algorithms
Why did you choose this project?
I chose this project because it aligns with my interests and background in robotics and autonomous systems. I find the challenge of developing path generation strategies using rule-based AI approaches to be exciting and interesting for its real-world impact which is strongly motivating, interdisciplinary nature as my background in instrumentation and control engineering and autonomous systems is entirely interdisciplinary in itself, and complexity as this allows me to grow and keep learning new things along the way
What have you done that aligns with the project’s nature and requirements?
- Reinforcement learning and Computer Vision at Aalto University → combining RL with rule-based strategies for path planning in complex scenarios
- Machine learning and Robotics (path planning, decision trees), multi-agent robotics at KTH → fusing path-planning algorithms and evolving them using ML/genetic algorithms, interactions with several different vehicles and pedestrians
- Excillum → Optimization-based control methods for tuning parameters for ride safety and comfort. Such algorithms, although slow in real-time, can strike a good balance between safety, comfort, and accuracy. Combine with RL or deep learning methods
