Mindfulness is not a one-size-fits-all approach. There are different types of mindfulness practices aimed at different mental health conditions. Mindfulness for depression is different from mindfulness for anxiety. You cannot get a BPD or trauma patient to assume non-judgmental awareness of their thoughts lest their mind becomes overloaded with stressful and negative thoughts and they can’t handle it
