The story of Sisyphus in Greek mythology is popular in absurdist philosophy. The summary is that Sisyphus was punished by the gods to push a boulder up a steep hill. At first, he thought it was an easy job to do and didn’t think of it as a punishment. However, as soon as he pushed the rock to the top, it rolled back down to the bottom and he had to repeat the process. This happened forever. Sisyphus was content with the reality he was facing and he kept enduring the eternal punishment without regret
